John Stewart
It is with deep sadness and regret that I have to report the sad loss of one of our precious members.
John Stewart has tragically passed away after a fight with cancer.
Sadly John never had the chance to ride convoy with us in his first mini, due to circumstances beyond his control. A suspension conversion saw the car with a specialist for a good deal longer than he had expected.
He recently bought another late Cooper and had the pleasure of driving that, but his health took a turn for the worst before he could actually get on a drive with us.
I have only met John once in person at Thoresby Hall Classic show, where I gatherered a feel for his passion for classic cars and minis particularly.
I know from that meeting he would have fitted in well with our sometimes wacky , sometimes batty, very rarely serious, always helpfull and loving band of mini nuts.
My thoughts are with Johns family at this time, having to deal with their loss and I know the club will echo my feelings.
If there is anything we can help with, they only have to ask, we would be honoured.
