Crews of BCM,
I have received this communique in the last few days from Mr Chairman, which I think needs your consideration and definate inclusion in our already bulging events calendar for 2011! The admission prices aren't out the way either at an Advance price of £3 on the Sunday + camping if you want it! Oooh ell !

Dear Mini Club Members!

The Northern Mini & Retro Ride Show 2011

We would like to thank all those who attended our first show in 2010 and to let you know we are doing it all again in 2011!

Over 3500 people attended the show over 3 days, there were plenty of traders, the entertainment was outstanding and the standard of cars that attended was fantastic. The weather let us own somewhat as did some technical issues but we have put our first show niggles behind us and look forward to bringing a bigger and better show to you in 2011.

We will still be using the same format of a laid back 3 day show, gates will open at 12pm on Friday 19th August 2011 and close on Sunday 21st at 5pm. Campers can stay over on the site at no extra charge if they wish until Monday 22nd until around midday.

Club prices are as follows

Advance Weekend Club Tickets £7.50 per person includes camping

Advance Weekend Club Tickets £5.00 per person, NO camping

Sunday only ticket, advance £3 per person

BOOK BEFORE APRIL 1ST AND SAVE ON WEEKEND ADVANCE TICKETS (SEE WEBSITE)

Under 12s & Pets are £1 each with free camping. (you may be asked to provide proof of age) Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

We have a new booking system for 2011. Clubs should email, or call us to register. You will then get your own booking page on our show website for your members to use to pay for their tickets as and when they require up until August 10th 2011. This saves clubs having to book members in by early deadlines and reduces your club admin. We will send you your own private weblink to your club page. Members are then added to your clubstand booking as they buy tickets. All you have to do then, is let us know by August 15th 2011 how many cars are displaying on your stand or we will only reserve you 10 display spaces.

Members do not have to arrive in a show vehicle to qualify for club tickets, of course only show vehicles would be displayed on the stand, the 'family hatchback' for instance, would remain on the camping area behind the stand.

Alternatively you may request a booking form and send a cheque or combine the online booking and booking form method. The choice is yours.

Camping is directly behind clubstands saving the effort of moving cars early in the morning onto stands, therefore vehicles are permanently on display. Booking in advance is advised as we cannot guarantee stand space for cars paying/arriving on the day but we will do our best to accommodate.

Free showers and extra toilets are an improvement on last years horrible portaloos. Entertainment is provided in our marquee on Friday and Saturday night, and we have a fully licensed bar with ALL alcoholic drinks, shots and vodka jellies priced at £1.50 each.


Club games will be taking place weather permitting, we have a 70's theme this year and although you do not have to dress up your clubstand, we would appreciate it if people could make the effort and get into fancy dress for the night entertainment and enter vehicles for the glow show at least. Prizes and trophies are on offer all over the weekend and theres loads of chances for clubs to win points for the CLUB OF THE YEAR competition. All participating clubs will receive information on this nearer the show and through our club liason manager during the show.


Daytime entertainment programme is changing all the time but includes, our 2 day rock concert event during the daytime of the Sat and Sun of the show, Watsons Rally sprint challenge, autotest track, skid pan, 4x4 and off road driving experiences, stunt show, reverse steer driving, kids entertainers, dancers, bikini and mankini car wash, 2 day rock concert in aid of Help for Heroes and features bands such as roundhouse, skank and the now world famous metallica UK.

We are thrilled and very proud to announce that Meguiars uk have sponsored our 2011 concours. We have 16 categories this year plus best in show and Meguiars have provided goodie bags for all the winners of each category as well as a huge meguiars kit for the best in show winner.

Show judges are the very reputed Tracey Lippett, Wayne Brownhill, Kate Perrins, James Parker as im sure youve heard of these names, youll know how lucky we are to have them onboard and are very grateful for their support and faith they have shown in not just this years, but also last years show. We also have big judging names from the American car clubs and modified and classic scene helping judge the non mini categories.

Winners will also get a trophy and certificate as well as the goodie bags. Best in show receives a bottle of champagne plus Mequiars winners trophy, and the best in show Meguiars prize.

Tracey Lippett will be holding a number of demonstrations on how to do concours, how to prepare the car, how the judges score and so on throughout the weekend, a masterclass if you will. She will have handouts and will also show tricks of the trade as well as demonstrating her favourite dressing products. She will provide an insight into the whole world of concours and hopefully inspire a few new concours stars of the future.


Remember to book your club in you must contact us either via email, or through our club booking number, northernminishow@live.co.uk or call 07840 612880. It is worth booking in your club even if only a few members are attending as they can take advantage of cheaper admission and guaranteed show display parking and camping.
