Crews,
This Sunday is the run to Foxton Locks, nr Mkt Harborough, via some very very nice Mini country, both there and back I can assure you - you will not be disappointed! One of the better driving days on the BCM Calendar and one not to be missed!
(Remember - Convoy rules to apply at all times please - with no exceptions for everyone's enjoyment)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foxton_Locks Am looking at leaving HQ (Tyre & Tech) at 0900hrs prompt, picking the Sleaford lot up at Gonerby Moor, Grantham at 0945hrs. Onto Melton Mowbray for a well earned cup of tea before onward movement to Foxton Locks via Rutland Water and Harringworth viaduct (impressive for all you photographers). There is a nice pub at the Locks that does good food (need to book though as busy at weekends) or it is a nice place for a picnic if you so wish (if the weathers nice that is).
http://www.restaurantfoxtonlocks.co.uk/page/foxton_locks_inn_menu_s If you intend to go and would like a bar snack/Sunday roast, then please let me know soonest and I will see if I can get table/s for us all. The sooner you let me know numbers the sooner I can book the tables.
Should be returning to HQ around 1700hrs (tired). I will also before then, supply to all those interested in going, a flight (route) plan for both there and back! Also a good one to stick in your Sat Nav as well as back up.
Look forward to hearing from you
Cheers Pip
