Imagine its just after Christmas - you've opened up all your prezzies, there's nowt on the telly as usual and you're bloated from eating too much Turkey and Christmas pud. The kids are sending you crackers and you're suffering from the dreaded cabin fever. You need to get out of the house and get some fresh air before you go completely mad...........WELL NOW YOU CAN GO COMPLETELY MAD AND ALL FOR A GOOD CAUSE!
You can take yourself along in your Min to the Embassy Centre at the Grand Parade at Skeggy on
Tuesday 27th December 2011 for some bracing sea air, get your kit off, your cozzy on (mankini's are the order of the day if you're a man, I wouldn't advise a lady wearing one!) or any fancy dress and have a nice cool dip in the invitingly blue North Sea - all for a great cause!
3 great charities are benefiting from this inaugural 'BCM Charity Mini Dipping', the Meningitis Trust, Macmillan Cancer Support and Help for Heroes. Hot soup and a roll will be provided free of charge for those partaking. There will be other Mini clubs invited along with a licensed bar courtesy of the Litten Tree at the Embassy Centre, Raffle prizes, Tombola, Leg and Chest waxing! We are hoping to get Mini Sport, South Lakes Minis, Mini Spares and Mini Speed on board to assist with the raffle prizes. If you can assist with any raffle prizes or Tombola items then please get in touch as these will be graciously received. Mini World and Mini Mag are being contacted along with Lincs FM and the local rags.
There will be more details once they are firmed up. We would also like willing volunteers to assist the club leading up to the event and on the day itself, if you're able to give us some of your time in making this venture a success and hopefully build on for next year. Please don't be shy in coming forward with any ideas you may have for the day.
