Am trying to get a Squadron together for this Sunday's planned Sortie to Foxton Locks on the Grand Union Canal near Market Harborough. Am just testing the water (like it? testing the water - canal? Never mind its just wasted wasted! ) re levels of interest please. If you've never been there is a unique 10 locks rise system and if the weathers nice should make for a pleasant day. You can take a picnic if you wish as there is ample space at the sides of the locks or you can have a meal at the Foxton Locks Inn - they do excellent meals which I can vouch for!
If you intend going and are thinking about eating at the pub I can see if we can reserve a table or too as it does get very busy at weekends if the weathers good.
